Dynamec

Broad-spectrum contact and translaminar insecticide & acaricide. For control of two-spotted spider mite, Western Flower Thrips and leaf miner (Liriomyza spp) in protected ornamental plant production.

Dynamec contains abamectin, a contact and translaminar insecticide & acaricide for control of two-spotted spider mite, leafminer and thrips. Abamectin, the active ingredient of Dynamec, has a broad spectrum of activity against spider mites and tarsonemids, thrips

 and leafminers. It works by blocking the pests’ nerve signals – they quickly become paralysed so can do no more damage and are killed within three to four days.

It is also soft on beneficial insects and mites and biological controls can be reintroduced relatively quickly after an application.

Optimising spray application

Always aim to achieve good even spray coverage for the best levels of pest control. Spider mites and leaf miners make for challenging adversaries, as they use the plant architecture to avoid direct contact with spray deposits. Dynamec is not a systemic product, so can't spread to other untreated leaves (fresh growth). It is translaminar allowing it to move locally in the plant, and to the underside of the leaf.
